Social Networkers and Marketing Tips for Your Small or Internet Business

Social Media sites or Networkers  As I Like to Call Them are a Cheap and Easy!

They are a way for small business owners to promote themselves especially when there are on a shoestring budget. Most small business owners don’t realize that they should be utilizing these powerful platforms. They keep going back and forth when trying to decide to this well known strategy. Flipping sides endlessly between feeling completely overwhelmed and feeling that the sites are a huge waste of time and/or money.

Social Media is one of my favorite ways of generating interest around my own Marketing and Advertisement business. But, there are some basic principles to keep in mind in order to make it worth your wild.

Here are some tips that will enhance your overall chances of a win/win scenario with social media Networkers:

Create Your Website a Landing/Home page

A landing page is a one-page website or a single page of your website that offers your visitors a quick peek at you and what your inter-net or Brick and Mortar business is all about. Before they are “overwhelmed” by the massive amounts of information that your business website will undoubtedly have store upon it. In addition, a successful landing page offers visitors a valuable free offer in exchange for their name and email address. Which in turn makes it a combo page or lead in capture page. Landing pages are crucial to newer smaller businesses and their success because they allow prospects to connect with you instantly and on a more personal level, quickly highlighting the benefits of doing business with you. This Page is your welcome mat an invitation which leads into your business.

You will use Your Profile Pages from Your Social Networking Sites

If you want your marketing efforts to work, make sure that you are transparent here at your social media profiles after all you are being social and not Business like, but still always remain professional. Also make sure they are filled out as completely as possible these Profile Pages. If prospects land on your profile page and it doesn’t have a picture, logo, and if the information is kinda vague or ify they aren’t likely to feel any connection with you.

Nor will they even make the connection to you and your company. You should provide as much information about yourself as needed. Warning! If you are Branding yourself your company still has rights to Its information’s so this is especially good practice for those who own their own companies. Remember, people want to get to know you, so give them what they’re looking for.

Participate; But Don’t Push to Hard Your Service or Your Products and Try Not to do this Directly

When marketing on social media platforms, always keep in mind the 80/20 rule and then forget It and do the new rule of 95/5. You should spend 95% of your time sharing, answering questions and interacting with others and only 5% of your time promoting your business. Remember this is not a 24/7 job you are doing here at the Social Club, but whatever you did do is seen 24/7 If you stick to this rule, you’ll be far better off then if your try to sell here. Any one who is truly into these social sites and does participate daily will tell you what I am telling you. We don’t want to talk shop. Talk about shop yes, but don’t talk shop. We are opposed to pushy sales-people.

Be There! At the “Same Bat Channel and the Same Bat Time!

Social media Networks are all about consistency. It is important that your prospective clients see you there on a regular basis. Exposure is the key to gaining your client’s trust and potential business. So, sign up and then keep signing on! Interact on a daily basis.

Create a Set of Daily, Weekly and Monthly Schedules and Keep Them!

If you don’t have a schedule, and stick to them. 1. You will get sucked into the Net at one of these social site and lose an hour or two at them. B. These Sites are designed to be addictive. Because they sell stuff to! Determine how much time you have to devote to your social media marketing You will need at the very least three of them Twitter, Facebook, Stumbleupon, Digg, Myspace, etc, etc. You will need also a Professional Networker such as Manta or LinkedIn. Stick to it even If you only have 30-minutes each day, then utilize three different ones each day. Social networking sites can and will generate a strong presence for you. I don’t like to use a timer! (Honestly!) But if you must, you must! Keep yourself on track; when it beeps, sign off and beat feet to the next site.

Social Networking and/or Marketing is Extremely Effective

As long as you understand and follow some simple etiquette. You will learn how to tap into their power only by doing it. If you heed these tips your marketing efforts, should quickly pay you back with dividends. These results will be impressive results for your small or Internet business.
